Rene Gruau Private View @ The Mayor Gallery
in

The ever-glamorous worlds of fashion and art collided last night for the Fashion Illustration Gallery’s private viewing of its new René Gruau exhibition. Guests, including artists Duggie Fields and David Downton, illustrators Tanya Ling and Daisy De Villeneuve (along with her mother and former model Jan De Villeneuve), were treated to a private viewing and hosted by gallery owner and exhibition curator, William Ling.

For almost four decades (1946-1984) Gruau used his remarkable talent to create illustrious front pages for one of the world’s first rag trade magazines, International Textiles. Gruau’s Dior Illustrated exhibition is also currently running at Somerset House.
