LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (March 1, 2018)— In anticipation of the 90th Academy Awards® airing on Sunday, March 4 on ABC, last night nearly 200 people gathered together in support of Suzy Amis Cameron’s 9th Annual Red Carpet Green Dress (RCGD) campaign. The celebration was held in the Hollywood Hills at the private residence of Jonas Tahlin, CEO of Absolut Elyx and in attendance were Rila Fukushima, Ashlan Cousteau, T.J. Slaughter, last year’s partner Priyanka Bose, among many others. The intimate event generated awareness towards sustainable living and raised funds to benefit MUSE School CA, an environmental non-profit educational organization Amis Cameron founded in Calabasas, Calif., with her sister Rebecca Amis.
Guests enjoyed plant-based appetizers and sipped on Absolut Elyx vodka specialty cocktails in their copper cups while embracing the view of the Hollywood skyline. A warm welcome was given by Samata Pattinson, Global Campaign Manager of RCGD and introduced the organization’s founder and environmental activist Suzy Amis Cameron, who shared her heart behind the organization and the importance of sustainable living.
Jeff King, Head of MUSE School CA, and Rebecca Amis, co-founder of MUSE, took time to talk about the impact of educational organization on the future generations, while students shared their powerful and personal experiences about the eco-friendly school and how they are embracing the lifestyle outside the school walls.
Following the MUSE School CA testimonials, Javier Verdura, Tesla Director of Design took the floor and announced the official launch of the online auction where all proceeds will go toward MUSE School CA, the beneficiary of RCGD. The exclusive auction items include:
- Tesla factory Tour for up to 5 people – a behind the curtain look/private tour of Tesla’s Northern California Factory; a tour that is not open to the public
- Weekend Usage of a Tesla Model S or X vehicle
- 2-night stay at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay
- A meet & greet with Director of Business Development for Tesla, Jeremy Snyder
The bid is currently open and will remain live until March 15 at 1pm PT.
