Founded by by Funmi, a British-Nigerian lawyer based in New York and London, Frost & Onyx offer an easy collection of luxury Tops and Tanks with bold African statements – I’ve worn their ‘Melanin Chic’ and ‘Chop Jollof’ tees and have to say the fit of the latter is gorgeous – delicately draped, it has a slight crop to the body which gives a sexy laid back silhouette.
They keep their collections super tight and streamlined, focusing on simple originality. Made in the Netherlands, these t-shirts also feel lush, fit comfortably and are the epitome of casual-lux inspired by the ‘modern African girl’. Designer Funmi wanted to create a brand which captured the essence of her British African friends, women she knew to be conscious, well-travelled, intelligent and most importantly, proud of their African heritage.
My holiday ethical style posts are now live on the website – sustainable fashion running the gamut from vegan shoes and vintage sunglasses across to brands working on the social responsibility side of the pond. Shout out to all the conscious brands doing interesting things including @opificio_v_milano’s vegan shoes, @FrostAndOnyx (global lux for the conscious, modern African woman), @Rokit for the best in vintage and @MelissaOdabash for her work with charities. Take a look 🙂 Link in bio and slide right for video. _______________________________________________________ #Fashion #Style #EcoWarrior #SustainableFashion
The newest addition ‘I Go Accra’ is on my wishlist – as you all know, I love a good statement t-shirt. The ‘En Vacances’ instalment is part of the new ’Travel the World’ collection of T-shirts which reveal the philosophy at the heart of the F&O, global wanderlust champions.
Shop the brand here – t-shirts start from £15.
