There’s only way to experience Jessica McCormack’s show-stopping jewels, and that’s the old-fashioned way, visit her shop. It is absolutely stunning; there’s a piano that plays itself designed by Based Upon, art by Rick Owens and Louise Bourgeois, sculptures by Tom Price (a chap in a puffa jacket checking his phone sits on a pedestal, like a Michaelangelo) and Dali-esque furniture by the Haas Brothers, who have made pieces for Lady Gaga and Versace Home.
And, of course, cabinets filled with exquisite and unusual jewels. The Jessica McCormack raffle benefited The Children’s Trust, which was celebrating 30 years as the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care. Guests were introduced to brands like Olivia von Halle and accessories handmade by artisans in Africa from ethical and sustainable locally sourced materials.
