I have written about Rokit before – it’s safe to say that I’m a fan. To me, since I moved to London from Cambridge over 10 years ago, it has always been the perfect source of vintage clothing and retro treasures. Discovering markets like those in Portobello Road, and wandering the length of Brick Road was a regular Saturday pastime. Rokit was a discovery I made on one of those rambles and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a penchant for the vintage/preloved fashion movement. As I keep saying, I haven’t shopped on the high street for a long time. I prefer to find the one-offs and discover independent fashion whenever I can.
These sunglasses were a find at Rokit whose online collection offers a variety of styles from decades past. You will find everything from 50s cat eye, 60s round, 70s oversized, 80s sport and 90s flip top (all terms I learnt from their website which only scratch the surface when it comes to the repetoire available). Have a good hunt, mine are worn and weathered now, just like I like vintage.
Take a look at the range of vintage sunglasses at Rokit here (worn with Dancing Leopard’s easy Genie jumpsuit – £42) and Opificio V Milano’s vegan shoes. Created in 2009, Dancing Leopard is a boho-chic label inspired by Ibiza and all things exotic and vibrant. With a flare for combining vibrant prints with flowing fabrics, the fabulous pieces they create are fit for a balaeric summer basking on the beach and dancing under the stars.
The free-spirited Leopards established early global roots trading across markets in London, Goa and Ibiza and are now growing by the day, with a strong online presence and stocked across 12 boutiques in Ibiza during season time, aswell as placements in stores as far and wide as Dubai and Switzerland.
