Women for Women fundraising birthday
in

On Saturday I celebrated the best birthday for a long time; the reason was simple, I spent it with a fantastic bunch of people at London members club, The Library, whilst also raising £1234.43 for Women for Women International , an NGO supporting women affected by war (funds raised through my JustGiving page and raffle ticket sales).

Thank you to Courvoisier, Okapi and Women for Women for donating items for the gift bags; the theme was Studio 54 and the playlist Hip-Hop, making for an eclectic evening to say the least; I had a blast designing this invite. Take a look at the pictures here…

Congratulations to Priya Downes, Greg Wingham, Ewelina Jurkiewicz, Fuad Sulejmanovic and Lexi Elven-Boita for winning the prizes which included Women for Women t-shirts and totes, the Fashion Designer’s Resource Book (& 1 hr mentoring session), a bottle of Courvoisier XO, cult classic DVD ‘Studio 54’ featuring Salma Hayek, Mark Wahlberg and Ryan Philippe and a luxury Okapi ladies wallet in Ostrich. Thank you to The Library Members Club for providing such a beautiful venue; I attended the club’s launch a while ago and really fell in love with the space then.

I would love to make it an annual event, and it would be much easier if there are sponsors and brands willing to donate product for the raffle… so if you are a sponsor interested in helping make this happen, contact us. Since 1993, Women for Women International has helped over 400,000 women survivors in countries affected by war and conflict, by providing them with much needed support, tools, and access to life-changing skills. In this way WFW empower these women to move from a place of distress, trauma and vulnerability to one of emotional stability and economic self-sufficiency; find out why charity means something to me here.
