Samata presents prestigious Collection of the Year Award at London College of Fashion
Samata was invited by Head of School Frances Corner to present the BA Fashion Design Collection of the Year at the London College of Fashion, the most prestigious award of the night. The winner was Nova Chiu from Hong Kong whose phenomenal technical skill and creative flair earned her the top honour.
London Colleg of Fashions’ sponsors and supporters were introduced by Head of College, Professor Frances Corner OBE. Caroline Marx of Barnet Lawson Trimmings presented the Barnett Lawson Award for Best Use of Trimmings to Charlotte Barry from Liverpool who was praised for her incredible detailing. Tro Manoukian from Biddle Sawyer Silks then presented the Biddle Sawyer Silks Award to Stine Riis from Copenhagen, Denmark for her innovative use of silk with wool, chiffon and patent leather. Samata is a guest lecturer at the London College of Fashion on the subject of fashion enterprise.
