Signature style wraps
in

I’ve been asked about my signature style recently, and to be honest it’s developing and I’m learning myself. As an eco-fashion lover and now as a mama I have noticed a few key bits that are consistent! First up, I will ALWAYS have some head piece or some statement gear on top…here are some of my favourites over the years and why they are sustainable.

1.Violet & Wren Turban – Independent British brand with a transparent supply chain. Always a favourite, from the @VioletAndWren ‘Eternal Sleep’ collection. It’s handcrafted and silk lined and can be worn day to night as it’s fully reversible.

2. Lush always wrap their gift items in the most gorgeous materials – my honey set of bath bombs and other good stuff came wrapped in this bee wax print fabric – aka Furoshiki (Origami’s lesser-known cousin), the traditional Japanese cloth-folding technique which allows you to wrap objects of various shapes and sizes in a single piece of cloth. It’s a more resourceful way to give gifts and it’s eco-friendly.

3-5. Zero waste – You might hear that term a lot and it means what it basically says on the tin. Approx. 15% of textiles intended for clothing end up on the cutting room floor, I bought a lot of fabric when I used to design, I now use the pieces left over to create headwraps like this.

6-8. Pashminas and scarves – most of these double up as headgear for me, the ultimate in transformational fashion. I’ve tagged where these ones are from!
