Billie Eilish’s climate action event Overheated returned to the capital this week. The singer helmed the themed day of talks in the city on Wednesday (August 30).
Having first hosted the Overheated event at London’s O2 Arena last year, the capital welcomed the climate-focused day back for another year. Instead of the world-famous music venue, the 2023 edition was held at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in Shepherds Bush.
Despite the venue’s 2,500 capacity, only 500 tickets were sold for this year’s Overheated event. The day was also live-streamed for fans online via the Bad Guy hitmaker’s YouTube channel.
As part of the event, Eilish was joined by her mother, Maggie Baird, with the pair leading conversations around the climate crisis throughout the day alongside fellow activists and other leading climate figures.
