*New York City, NY – September 15, 2023* – Samata Pattinson, renowned Cultural Sustainability Pioneer and CEO of BLACK PEARL, played a prominent role at Climate Week NYC 2023, one of the world’s most significant annual climate events, which took place from September 17th to 24th.

Climate Week NYC, organised by the Climate Group, united global leaders, business executives, policy influencers, and representatives from civil society to accelerate climate action and advocate for change. This year’s event featured a hybrid format, encompassing in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions.

Moderating TEXAS Documentary Screening:

Pattinson served as the moderator for the screening of the documentary “TEXAS,” directed by Andrew Morgan, in which she also held the role of Associate Producer. The documentary explored critical environmental and social issues, shedding light on the importance of storytelling in inspiring change.

Speaking at the Fashion Solutions Breakfast with Futuerra:

Pattinson participated in the “Fashion Solutions Breakfast with Futuerra” on September 19th. Hosted at the Futuerra NY Office, this session explored innovative approaches to sustainable fashion, highlighting the creative potential and collective wisdom needed to build resilient societies and protect the planet.

Panel Discussion at SDG Media Zone:

Pattinson also took part in a panel discussion at the SDG Media Zone, focusing on the theme “Harnessing Culture and Community for Sustainable Development.” Scheduled for September 20th, this engaging session delved into how culture and community can be harnessed to promote social cohesion, environmental stewardship, and economic resilience.
